Accountant
- Full-Time
The Accountant is responsible for supporting the objective of the finance department to continuously improve the integrity of reporting, both internally and externally, and to support the organization in making data-based decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Audits customer billing for accurate rates and completeness.
- Reviews invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Applies customer payments.
- Researches and solves payment discrepancies.
- Follows up on past due receivables.
- Prepare accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department.
- Balance / Reconcile accounts.
- Support the management team of the facility in gathering and analyzing expense and operation information to make informed decisions.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and participate in the monthly close process
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting field, preferably in transportation or automotive manufacturing
- Knowledge of ERP systems

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting, but is expected to be familiar with the freight flows and interact with operations team members.
