General Ledger Accountant

GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT

SUMMARY:

The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.

HOURS: Monday-Friday 8a-5p (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

PAY: up to $97K DOE   

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT:

Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.

Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

Prepare and analyze financial statements.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Support internal and external audits.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

SAP strongly preferred

3+ years in an accounting role in an industrial environment is preferred   

Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS  

Previous experience in general ledger accounting or related roles.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be comfortable working later hours for the last 2 days of the month for month end close
