Legal Assistant
- Full-Time
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and closings
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
- Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, contracts, and affidavits
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Manage calendars and schedule appointments for attorneys
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Assist with document production and discovery processes
- Prepare trial exhibits and assist with courtroom logistics
- Responsible for assistance in drafting pleadings, discovery, correspondence, document summaries as well as filing and serving electronic documents
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in legal case management software and research tools (e.g., Westlaw)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to conduct legal research and analyze case law
- Familiarity with litigation procedures and court rules
- Proficient in clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents
- Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong writing and organizational skills. Knowledge of Dropbox, MS Office, Adobe, Federal Court, and Nevada state court procedures is required.
Salary commensurate with experience.
