Job Description

Job Description: The Commercial Development and Sales team member leads, manages prospects, and acquires new business to expand CBX Global’s customer base and increase revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies around the provision of logistical services.
  • Vet and identify new prospective accounts to strengthen and increase revenue for CBX Global, primarily focusing on FOB services from Asia to the United States.
  • Develop new and maintain assigned accounts, providing ongoing customer support.
  • Identify and contact prospective customers to promote logistical services and negotiate contracts.
  • Assess business processes, identify risks, and recommend improvements to achieve sales targets within established timelines.
  • Address customer concerns and find innovative solutions for complex logistical challenges to maximize satisfaction.
  • Assess customer needs and identify suitable modes of transportation that align with cost and timeframe expectations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistical services by arranging shipment and transportation details with carrier agents.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department’s strategies to attract new customers and retain existing accounts.
  • Present, promote, and sell logistics services to prospective customers.
  • Identify, reach out to, and develop leads to onboard as CBX Global customers.
  • Analyze the territory market potential, track sales, and provide status reports.
  • Provide reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services to management.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or similar preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales, shipping, receiving, and logistics associated with the Transpacific Trade Lanes.
  • At least five years of experience as a logistics account executive.
  • At least ten years of experience in sales and commercial development.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional capacity to accept and process feedback for continuous improvement, growth, and development.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Superb organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration capabilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software required.
  • Familiarity with CRM practices along with the ability to build productive business professional relationships.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs.
  • Ability to always represent themselves and the company to a high standard.
  • Flexibility to work after work long hours, weekends, and holidays when needed.
  • Travel flexibility.
