General Summary: Complies charge information, assigns appropriate coding, post charges and balances charge summary to documents keyed before updating. Receives and review charge documents from the physicians for hospital services. Ensures charge information provided is correct and accurate. Maintains all records of hospital activity as performed by the physicians.

• Receives and reviews charge documents from the physicians for hospital services.
• Ensures charge information provided is correct and accurate.
• Maintains all records of hospital activity as performed by the physicians.
• Applicably assigns appropriate coding.
• Post charges and balances charge summary to documents keyed before updating charges.
• Performs daily close of posted charges.
• Performs related work as required.

Education: CPC Certificate

Experience: One year of data entry experience. Certified Professional Coder/ Hospital Coder. Demonstrates strong ability to accurately code complex medical or surgical procedures. Computer experience required.
