Luminator is seeking to fill our Summer Intern Electrical Engineering role to join our growing and dynamic Aerospace Team. In this role, you will be an integral part of the business by providing valuable input to the goals and mission of our Internship program. You will gain valuable engineering skills by working alongside a highly experienced Engineering team working on real world solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering at an accredited university.
  • Familiarity with electronic schematics.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry.
  • Proficiency in using basic laboratory equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to work autonomously.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with microcontrollers and their integration with various sensors.
  • Basic understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and RS485.
  • Experience in writing, debugging, and deploying embedded software in C.
  • Proficiency in circuit design using ECAD tools such as Altium or Eagle.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in existing circuits, proposing effective solutions.
  • Engage in circuit design and PCB layout for new projects.
  • Create and maintain documentation for electronic test fixtures.
  • Support the Engineering Change Documentation (ECO) process.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in mechanical/electrical engineering to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
