Camp Counselor, Westwood

Hours: Both full and part time opportunities are available

Camp-I-Can at Best Point is a fun filled, 10-week summer day camp for children ages 5-12 years. Camp-I-Can combines traditional camp features such as swimming and recreation with enriching activities such as community service and leadership projects. The weekly activities are linked to the Ohio Department of Education’s Core Content Standards. The program offers a safe, stimulating environment designed to enhance creativity, promote leadership and social skills, and celebrate culture and diversity. In addition, campers enjoy field trips, guest speakers, weekly themed activities, and much more!

Definition and Primary Objective:

Best Point is seeking an individual to supervise and participate in the daily activities of the clients. This individual will develop a working relationship with each child and the group as a whole in order to meet the needs of the children.

Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or its equivalency, an associate’s degree or higher is preferred. Interest and experience in working with children is preferred. A valid driver’s license is preferred. Must possess minimum technical skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and ability to use standard Microsoft Office applications.

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be capable of sustained exertion and be able to participate in the physical restraint techniques and exercises required to ensure safety of clients at all times.
