Maintence Assistant - 1966792

Our client, founded over 25 years ago, manufactures and distributes industrial chemistries to various markets including oil and gas, pulp and paper, HI&I, building and construction, water treatment, and material preservation. In addition to their own chemistries, our client toll manufactures on behalf of various multinational chemical corporation and operates under an ISO 9001 certified quality management system.

Our client is searching for a Maintenance Assistant to join their team.

The Maintenance Assistant will:

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in performing plant maintenance activities
• Assist with the installation of new equipment
• Pickup parts from vendors when required
• Maintain the cleanliness of the maintenance area
• Work with outside contractors when necessary
• Assist in plant production if maintenance is caught up

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance experience in an industrial production plant
• Forklift experience
• Scissor lift experience
• Welding experience
• Electrical experience
• PROCESS ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE A PLUS

Requirements:

• The position is based in the facility in Memphis, TN
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Physical - No respiratory illnesses allowed/must be able to work in production environment that requires prolonged standing, stooping, and working in hot and cold temperatures/must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb ladders, stairways, and work in elevated areas
• Work in confined spaces when necessary
• Current drivers license with no major violations in the past three years
