Job Description

ATTN: This position will start/train in Lakewood NJ and move to Vineland NJ once our new facility is completed in December 2024

Management Responsibilities:

Manages and coordinates activities of workers engaged in packaging products and materials for shipment: Studies production order to ascertain type and quantity of product, labels & containers needed, and other packaging requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspects products prior to packaging and returns rejected products to production departments.
Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications.
Starts, adjusts, troubleshoots packaging machinery, or notifies maintenance department.
Trains workers in operation of equipment
Requisitions containers and other supplies for delivery to workstations.
Analyze and determine all standards for packaging lines and ensure compliance with all schedules for processes and develop and maintain all packing orders effectively.
Monitor and recommend improvements to process and develop and maintain all packing orders effectively.
Coordinate with quality and warehouse departments to monitor everyday activities of units and ensure efficient working of both manufacturing.
Performs other duties as described.

Bi-lingual Spanish and English a plus, but not required.

Education & Experience:

College degree or 2 + years of experience
Experience working with Bizerba & Altech Label systems a plus
Proven history of managing teams of ten or more.
Must have previous warehouse experience.
Must be able to follow work orders.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand and bend frequently.
Willing to assist on the line.
Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds if needed.
Prolonged periods of standing
Must be detail oriented.
