Job Description

Are you a customer insights professional with a solid foundation in statistics and quantitative and qualitative analysis? Do you have experience designing and managing research projects?

 

 

We're looking for a senior analyst to join E Source Market Research. You'll be responsible for bringing the voice of the customer and the voice of the utility to in-house research experts and E Source members. You'll design research projects and manage all project activities. You should be comfortable partnering across teams to analyze and translate complex or robust data into compelling stories and willing to nurture relationships through day-to-day interaction.

The senior analyst serves as a key client contact and project manager. The role requires an energetic, passionate, and client-focused team player with relevant data analytics and customer insights experience. How you'll contribute to our mission

  • Provide project leadership and project management
  • Scope and design research projects with internal and external stakeholders
  • Design and administer questionnaires
  • Design and manage sampling, recruitment, and fielding
  • Analyze complex or robust data, identify key findings, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Create engaging reports and presentations
  • Present results to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Identify innovative market research methodologies, new ways of solving complex client business problems, and scale proven client solutions
  • Identify innovative ways to drive efficiencies in our processes
  • Mentor and train team members and perform data quality assurance checks

 

 

 

 

What will make you a good fit

 

  • Ability to lead or contribute substantially on project teams and identify internal stakeholders needs and ways market research results can support internal decision-making
  • Strong listening skills, with the ability to identify underlying business questions and recommend appropriate survey methodology and design
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to set clear expectations, communicate regularly with internal and external clients regarding project milestones and status, deliver on established deadlines, and share research results in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Ability to independently design questionnaires for quantitative and qualitative studies
  • Experience with sampling techniques and requirements for statistical confidence and precision
  • Willingness to adhere to market research standards regarding personally identifiable information (PII) and privacy
  • Ability to identify proper analyses and testing, create project analysis plans, conduct reliable data analysis without supervision, and evaluate data analysis of self and others, including vendors
  • Ability to synthesize information to create actionable, succinct data-driven stories
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to manage multiple work streams and prioritize work independently based on department needs and objectives
  • A natural curiosity, can-do attitude, and comfort with ambiguity
  • A flair for nurturing and building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, with a sense of urgency, creativity, and decisiveness in an environment with tight deadlines and abstract work products
  • Bachelors degree required; graduate degree preferred
  • Four to seven years of relevant experience conducting market research among B2B and B2C groups
  • Experience in energy industry a plus
  • Proficient with quantitative analytical techniques
  • Proficient with SPSS; Qualtrics (or equivalent); Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with PowerBI, R, or Python is a plus
  • Experience extracting and transforming data from relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) is a plus

The budgeted salary for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

 

 

 

This person can work remote, a hybrid schedule or from one of our physical office locations in Boulder, Colorado; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Birmingham, Alabama; Buffalo, New York; or Nashville, Tennessee.
