Commercial Construction Project Manager

Brantley Construction Services, LLC DBA Brantley Construction Company, LLC is a full-service general contractor with over 48 years of history providing building services throughout the Southeast primarily in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Brantley constructs commercial facilities such as, churches, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, sports and recreation, educational, hospitality construction for municipal, federal and private contracts.

Title: Construction Project Manager

Location: This is an onsite position in the Charleston, SC Office

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

During construction, the Project Manager plans, organizes, and controls multiple projects; completes project quality inspections; supervises Subcontractors, Superintendents and other staff.

• Calculating and allocating resources required; scheduling and coordinating staff and Subcontractors; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay requests, progress reports, punch lists items and closeout documents.
• Strategic project plans and project reviews, including anticipating and helping to resolve potential issues or project delays.
• Manages Subcontractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting Subcontractors; monitoring and controlling performance. Initiate and prepare RFIs, change orders; obtaining pricing from subcontractors/suppliers/vendors. Subcontractor / Vendor invoicing.
• Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures
• Acts as liaison between the owners and jobsite personnel for approvals on construction projects by conducting onsite inspections at critical phases.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment complying with legal regulations. (i.e maintains OSHA, Safety, First Aid, CPR and equipment certifications)
• Participating in or requesting additional educational, training or networking opportunities
• Willing to travel
• Must have good communications skills.
• Good computer software skills: Timberline, OST, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Primavera, proficient in video conferencing, AIA and advanced Excel.

Four year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or other comparable construction related degree.

Federal experience a plus.

CMAR experience a plus.

Project experience $25+ Million per a plus.

Must have a minimum of 3 years of documented commercial construction project manager experience managing commercial, industrial, education, or healthcare construction projects with proven experience meeting or exceeding budgeted profits, on time schedules, exceptional safety and quality performance.
