Description

We are seeking a Data Analyst Intern who will be responsible for analyzing data to provide information for key management decisions.
This position requires a self-driven, motivated individual who is willing to collaborate and work within a team atmosphere. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection: Gathering data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and other systems.
Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Identifying and correcting errors, handling missing data, and preparing data for analysis by organizing, cleaning, and structuring it.
Data Analysis: Using statistical methods and data visualization techniques to interpret and analyze data, identifying trends, patterns, and relationships to extract insights.
Report Generation: Creating reports and presentations to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders, often using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
Dashboard Development: Building interactive dashboards to monitor key metrics and KPIs, allowing stakeholders to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
Predictive Modeling: Developing predictive models using machine learning algorithms to forecast future trends or outcomes based on historical data.
Data Mining: Identifying patterns and trends in large datasets using clustering, classification, and association rule mining techniques.
Database Management: Managing databases to ensure data integrity and availability.
Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and trends.
Other tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Candidates working towards a BS or master’s degree in data-related fields preferred.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using analytical tools to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in programming languages is commonly used in data analysis such as Python, R, SQL, or others.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib or ggplot2 to create visualizations and communicate findings effectively.
Understanding database systems and querying languages for data retrieval and manipulation.
Experience working with databases.
Thoroughness and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting to ensure accuracy and reliability of findings.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, share knowledge, and contribute to achieving team goals.
Curious with a continuous learning mindset.
Hardworking and self-drive.
Able to estimate work requirements and meet goals and deadlines.
Follow directions as outlined by the manager and ask clarifying questions when needed.
