Field Service Technician - Preventative Maintenance

Our dairy sales and service company is looking to expand our team and we are searching for a Field Service Technician specializing in preventative maintenance. This position is located out of our Batavia, NY location. Daily travel and customer interaction is required.

The candidate best suited for this position is mechanically inclined and has some maintenance experience. Candidates must be able to use hand tools, testing, measuring, and diagnostic devices to diagnose mechanical or electrical issues and complete specialized repairs. This role will require technicians to work with a variety of milking equipment making prior agricultural experience beneficial but not required.

Our preventative maintenance technicians are expected to be customer service orientated and represent the best that CIDEC has to offer. Working as part of a team and independently are both required. The best candidate will present a willingness to learn and expand their technical skill set overtime.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Installation, service, and troubleshooting of various dairy equipment
• Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery following PM schedule
• Organization of a company vehicle, tools, and inventory
• Participate in an on-call rotation after the appropriate on and off-site technical training has been completed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding or related field a plus
• Familiarity with general mechanical tools and procedures
• Ability to lift 70 lbs
• Valid Driver's License
