Metal Finisher Assistant- Architectural / Ornamental Metals/ Prototypes

3 Years min. Verifiable Metal Finishing Experience.

Must be able to work as a team member.

Ask questions and receive direction.

Communicate effectively with team members.

Be Fully Fluent in the English language.

Must be able to use PPE and follow safety protocols.

Be familiar with the storage and use of chemicals, solvents and paint products.

Be familiar with the maintenance of spray booth intake, exhaust filters and lighting.

Must be able to read drawings, blueprints, catalogue and utilize product spec sheets and formulas.

Must be able to create and utilize jigs, hanging, support fixtures for finishing and painting as needed.

Must be proficient in Grinding with 4-1/2" and 5" and Finish Sanding.

Must be proficient in the use of hand held belt sanders, right angle die grinders, and other fine finishing tools.

Must be proficient in Sanding with Non Directional Orbital and High Speed  with 4-1/2" and 5" sanders. 

Be able to use a file, and abrasive paper.

Be able to correctly prepare surfaces, remove dust particles to be paint or sealant ready.

Polish on stationary or hand held polisher/ buffer

Have Patina finishing experience for Steel, Stainless, Copper, Bronze, Brass, Aluminum, and Zinc experience.

Be able to mix and apply paints, lacquers, colorants and spray with HVLP spray gun.

Be able to carry 50Lbs. 25’-00” if necessary.

Have vehicle and can travel

Work Overtime as needed
