Job Purpose:
To maintain the company’s shop machinery and equipment and preventative maintenance records.
Job Summary:
This position reports to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. It requires a blend of skills and experience that are specifically focused on building, grounds, and production equipment maintenance. Also responsible for managing maintenance on shop machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Accident prevention: Identify and correct or report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
- Profit improvements: Identify and implement cost reductions/profit improvements.
- Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Sea Box Quality Policy calling for self-inspection of your work product.
- Assist in maintenance of building, grounds and production equipment, including preventative maintenance.
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintain air compressors, including preventative maintenance.
- Repair and maintain paint pumps, rivet guns and shop equipment.
- Assists and performs with installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics.
- Perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and to eliminate all hazards.
- Work collaboratively with shop personnel to maintain building and equipment items.
- May need to work an overtime schedule and/or be available “on call”
- Perform snow removal services when required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications: Must have a valid driver’s license
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: The candidate should possess 2-5 years related experience.
