POSITION TITLE: Preventative Maintenance Technician
REPORTS TO: Chief Engineer / General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the hotel's building, grounds, and operational systems. This role involves conducting day-to-day maintenance, addressing repair needs, and managing the preventative maintenance program. The ideal candidate will ensure all equipment operates smoothly, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safety standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain company and franchise maintenance standards for guest rooms and public areas.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guest needs.
  • Resolve maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders efficiently.
  • Ensure that property and equipment are maintained safely, adhering to manufacturer specifications for repairs.
  • Service the hotel's pool, including cleaning, maintaining appearance, and balancing chemicals, while completing maintenance logs.
  • Maintain the exterior of the building, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
  • Complete maintenance logs thoroughly, ensuring accurate documentation of work performed.
  • Follow and maintain the preventative maintenance program, addressing scheduled maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Assist with periodic or scheduled cleaning projects as required.
  • Support other departments when needed and perform other duties as assigned by management.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
