LRS Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Blue Yonder WMS Engineer for a 12-month contract opportunity with our client in Central Illinois. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Blue Yonder Engineer to support, enhance, and integrate our client's Blue Yonder WMS 2019 On-Premises environment.

This individual will play a key role in the design, development, support, and optimization of warehouse management and automation solutions that drive critical distribution center operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in MOCA development, RESTful API integrations, and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), including platforms such as Dematic. This role will collaborate closely with warehouse operations, automation, engineering, and IT teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions that improve efficiency, system performance, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities Configure, develop, and support Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) WMS 2019 On-Premises solutions. Design, develop, and maintain customizations using MOCA commands, scripts, and components. Develop and support integrations between Blue Yonder WMS and enterprise systems using RESTful APIs, web services, and middleware technologies.

Design and maintain interfaces between WMS and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), including Dematic, conveyor systems, sortation systems, ASRS, and other warehouse automation technologies. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to inventory management, receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, and warehouse automation. Monitor application and integration performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with operations, engineering, automation, and IT teams to design and deliver scalable warehouse solutions. Participate in application upgrades, patching, testing, deployment, and production support activities. Develop and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, and support procedures.

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring system and integration issues. Support 24x7 warehouse operations during critical incidents, system outages, and major deployment activities as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

5+ years of experience supporting Blue Yonder/JDA Warehouse Management Systems. Hands-on experience supporting and developing within Blue Yonder WMS 2019 On-Premises environments. Strong expertise with MOCA development, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting RESTful API integrations. Experience integrating Blue Yonder WMS with ERP, transportation, automation, and third-party systems. Experience working with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), including Dematic or similar warehouse automation platforms.

Strong understanding of: Warehouse operations Inventory management Receiving and shipping processes Order fulfillment workflows Distribution center automation Experience with SQL and relational databases, including Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Blue Yonder technical components such as Dispatcher, Integrator, and related platform services.

Experience supporting highly automated distribution center environments. Knowledge of message queues, middleware technologies, and event-driven integration architectures. Familiarity with RF devices, voice picking solutions, and warehouse automation technologies.

Experience utilizing source control and modern software development practices. Exposure to hybrid and cloud integration strategies while supporting legacy on-premises platforms. Ability to thrive in fast-paced distribution center and fulfillment environments. Proven ability to lead technical troubleshooting efforts across multiple integrated systems. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. The pay range for this contract position is $60.00 to $90.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, education, and location. Compensation decisions are based on several factors, including relevant experience, technical expertise, and market considerations
