Job Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and support machinery.
  • Conduct routine inspections of kiln ovens, batch ovens, conveyor systems, vacuum tanks, pumps, compressors, and material handling equipment.
  • Lubricate, adjust, clean, inspect, and replace wear components as required.
  • Monitor equipment condition and identify potential failures before they impact production.
  • Complete maintenance checklists and document findings accurately.
  • Assist with predictive maintenance activities, including vibration monitoring, temperature checks, and visual inspections.
Equipment Reliability
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Technicians and Production personnel to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Support root cause analysis efforts following equipment failures.
  • Assist in developing and improving preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
Spare Parts & Inventory Management
  • Establish, organize, and maintain critical spare parts inventory for production equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment of critical components.
  • Track usage of maintenance supplies and replacement parts.
  • Assist with identifying and sourcing spare parts for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the maintenance management system.
Documentation & Recordkeeping
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and preventive maintenance records.
  • Update equipment history and maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure work orders are completed and documented properly.
  • Support audits and compliance requirements through accurate recordkeeping.
General Maintenance Support
  • Assist maintenance team members with equipment repairs and shutdown activities as needed.
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs and component replacements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.
  • Support facility maintenance projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preventive maintenance, or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with conveyors, pumps, motors, bearings, gearboxes, or other industrial equipment.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in fiberglass, ceramics, composites, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance best practices.
  • Familiarity with spare parts inventory management.
  • Basic welding and fabrication experience.
  • Forklift certification or industrial equipment operating experience.
