EUV Mechanical Engineer - Intern

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Mechanical Engineering Coop/Inter who is looking to apply their knowledge of mechanical components to improve manufacturing processes within the EUV Division. You will be working closely with the EUV Operations and Engineering team to improve current processes, develop new fixtures, and generate work instructions and procedures.
The primary summer project will focus on the improvement of the bore assembly process, a critical component of the EUV system and largest spare component.
Key Responsibilities:- Identification of current limitations of the bore assembly process and areas of improvement
- Collaboration with the manufacturing and engineering teams on process improvements
- Implementation of process improvements and verification in areas including but not limited to time reduction, capacity increase, or reliability
- Documentation of process improvements and release of new WI through ECO process
- Learn how to apply technical knowledge to improve manufacturing operations in real-world scenarios
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- Junior or Senior working towards bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to explore different solutions to problems
- Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently
- Self-motivated with the ability to drive projects according to plan
- Occasional work in clean room environment will require the wearing of PPE
Preferred Qualifications
- Solidworks and PDM experience
- Use of basic hand tools
- Ability to acquire new skills and knowledge with minimal guidance
