Sushi Maker - Sundays off (10am - 4pm)

Kikka sushi is looking for an energetic, hardworking, dependable, Food Prep / Cook that will provide great customer service in the Village Market at 5885 Broadway Terrace, Oakland, CA, 94618.

In this a Full Time position works 6 days a week (Saturday off), 10am – 4pm.

The Food Prep / Cook will make sushi in advance and per customer's request. No experience making sushi, no problem we will teach you! The team member will also do prep work, prepare other Asian foods and maintain a clean and neat environment while helping customers in a fun, fast paced, exciting environment.

Interviews will be held at the Whole Foods Berkeley located at 3000 Telegraph Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94705 by a different Manager. I strongly recommend you check out the working location before going to the interview (Village Market at 5885 Broadway Terrace, Oakland, CA, 94618).

To thrive in this job you must show up to work on time and as scheduled, be willing to work hard (this isn’t an easy job), be patient (it takes about 3 months to get comfortable with the job), must be willing to stick it out (not quit after a few days or weeks) and be able to work with multi-cultural and multi-lingual co-workers, some who barely speak English.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate great customer service skills
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work all Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
• Be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Be 18 years of age or older

Pay is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on sushi making experience.

Preferred experience:

• Working in quick service restaurants, supermarkets or fast paced environments
• Food handling experience and food handler certification
