Preschool Summer Camp Teacher

Spend your summer providing a fun, safe and exciting learning environment for children ages 1-5. Teachers enjoy full time hours/pay without working nights or weekends. Teachers lead arts + crafts, playground time, special Friday activities and visits to our beautiful outdoor pool with special Splash Pad for our littlest swimmers.

Schedule: M-F 9:00am - 5:30pm

Pay and Benefits

• $13-$15 per hour
• No nights or weekends

What You'll Do

• Create a classroom environment that promotes learning through open-ended activities, materials, and an intriguing environment.
• Implement the age appropriate grab and go curriculum to nurture and stimulate all domains of the children’s development.
• Cultivate and maintain a positive relationship with parents through formal and informal communication on a daily and weekly basis.
• Foster and develop relationships with other teaching team members, including co-teachers.
• Gear the program towards the needs of individual children taking into account interests, challenges, talents, and individual learning styles.
• Accompany children to and from the swimming pool several times a week.
• Assist with the supervision of afternoon staff or volunteers in the classroom.

• Prior classroom experience or education towards early childhood or related degree needed
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with young children is preferred

Physical Requirements

Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.
