Medical Billing and Coding Supervisor (CPC)

Medical coding expert wanted in King of Prussia, PA! We are hiring a Medical Billing and Coding Supervisor to drive medical record documentation across the region and ensure correct use of CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes. You will be essential in establishing compliance with Government and third-party billing guidelines, AMA, AAP, CMS, and coding policies. DUTIES:

• Develop medical coding and documentation plans and materials.
• Train, coordinate, supervise, and counsel regional coding personnel with the aim to develop staff and improve teamwork, morale, and overall performance results.
• Provide support and training to office personnel and providers.
• Drive in ‘front end’ workflows and business processes.
• Ensure standardization and workflow consistency/compliance.
• Drive consistency across assigned markets, related to clinical documentation and the correct use of CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes to ensure adherence to established Government and third-party billing guidelines, AMA, AAP, CMS, and coding policies.
• Delegate duties, practices and providers among the coding/charge posting team.
• Maintain an expanded knowledge base of medical terminology, standard medical abbreviations, anatomy and disease processes, CPT-4, and ICD-10, and abstracting of clinical documentation to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate entering of all charges.
• Maintain daily reconciliation of charge entry process.
• Maintain expanded knowledge of insurance verification process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s Degree required.
• AAPC CPC Certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare (professional) billing, health insurance, coding or equivalent operations work environment required.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must have knowledge of healthcare (professional) billing, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding, government, government sponsored and commercial follow-up requirements as well as appeals processes and requirements.
• Must have thorough understanding of the revenue cycle and how the various components work together.
• Must demonstrate service excellence, and recruiting, training, leading and performance management of staff.
