Educator Registered Nurse / RN Education - 4 LOCS

Title: Educator Registered Nurse / RN Education

Responsibilities:

• Assist with regulatory body inspections as needed
• Provide ongoing support for Orientation opportunities as needed, including, but not limited to group/1-1 instruction,
• proctoring testing, hands-on clinical instruction
• Provide remediation for clinical employees as needed
• Provide ongoing clinical support for staff use of Electronic Medical Record, in conjunction with Information Technology Department
• Maintain superior clinical skills in the dialysis setting and provide hands-on clinical support in clinics as assigned by
• Director of Education and Training
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing to develop and facilitate the orientation process of all new nurses.
• A minimum of two years in a long term care facility, one year of which has been in a nursing supervisor capacity preferred
• The ability to coordinate and communicate in a multidisciplinary setting
• Demonstrated competency to teach adult learners

Qualifications:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred: minimum of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (RN)
• Must possess current valid license as a registered nurse in the state of New York
• 2-5 years’ experience working as a registered nurse in a clinical setting
• Preferred experience teaching adult learners
• Must possess valid basic life support (BLS) certification
• Strong oral /written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
