IT Operations Systems Engineer (Asset Management)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Systems Engineer specializing in Asset Management to lead day-to-day operational support for the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of endpoint devices. The role involves ensuring all endpoints, including servers, are kept up to date with necessary patches, updates, and security measures while maintaining accurate records of IT assets. The successful candidate will conduct regular audits to track inventory changes, software licensing counts and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day operational support for the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of endpoint devices such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
• Ensure all endpoints including servers are up to date with necessary patches, updates, and security measures
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals
• Conduct regular audits to track inventory changes and ensure compliance with organizational policies
• Create and maintain documentation, processes and troubleshooting procedures for systems/networks, security, software, and hardware
• Implement and enforce access policies to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with vendors to support internal communication equipment and maintain service level agreements
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
• Assist end-users with desktop support, including software installations, configuration changes, and troubleshooting
• Respond to device-related issues promptly and ensure hardware functionality is restored efficiently
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees by setting up accounts, configuring devices, and providing training on IT systems and policies
• Contribute to the development and documentation of IT policies, procedures, and guidelines

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5-10 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or infrastructure management
• Proficiency in Mac and Windows operating systems
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Proven track record in analyzing complex technical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions
• Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Supervisor: Director of Technology Services

Employment Terms: Full-time, Exempt, Salary. In-Office. Eligible for benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability) and 401(k) after introductory period. Typical business hours are 8am-5pm, Monday thru Friday, excluding company-observed holidays. Some weekend and after-hours work is required, as well as some travel.
