Asset Management and Real Estate Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL (On-Site) - Must be located in Chicago

Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

Atlas Asset Management is a growing property management company focused on operating multifamily rental properties on the South Side of Chicago. Our mission is to provide the highest level of service to our residents, improving their quality of life and strengthening the surrounding communities we serve.

Role Overview

The Asset Management and Real Estate Analyst is a highly analytical, execution-oriented role supporting both portfolio performance and investment activity across our multifamily assets.

This position blends traditional real estate financial analysis with hands-on asset management and operational support. The analyst will work closely with senior leadership to remove administrative and analytical burden, support construction and capital projects, and help translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations.

This is an excellent early-career opportunity for someone who is confident with numbers, comfortable working through ambiguity, and eager to grow into broader asset management or real estate financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Management and Portfolio Analysis

  • Analyze operating performance across the multifamily portfolio
  • Review financial statements, rent rolls, and collections
  • Identify trends, variances, and performance drivers
  • Translate financial and operational data into clear insights and investment narratives
  • Support ongoing assetlevel reporting and portfolio analytics
  • Acquisitions, Refinancing and Underwriting
  • Support underwriting for acquisitions and refinances
  • Build and maintain financial models and proformas
  • Assist with evaluating future property and loan opportunities
  • Support due diligence and scenario analysis
  • Respond to lender data requests and inquiries
  • Capital Expenditures and Construction Support

  • Track and analyze capital expenditures (CapEx)
  • Support constructionrelated financial reporting and documentation
  • Assist with escrow releases and draw tracking
  • Ensure CapEx data is accurately reflected in financial models and reporting
  • Financial Reporting and Data Management

  • Prepare reports for internal leadership and external lenders
  • Maintain clean, accurate datasets across financial and operational systems
  • Perform ad hoc data analysis to support asset management scale
  • Utilize Excel and other financial/IT tools to analyze large datasets and solve problems

  • Collaborate with senior analysts on shared workstreams

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field
