IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst

The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's hardware and software asset inventory throughout the asset lifecycle. This role ensures accurate asset tracking, software license compliance, audit readiness, and data integrity within ITAM/CMDB platforms, preferably ServiceNow. The analyst will collaborate with IT, procurement, finance, and security teams to optimize asset utilization, support governance initiatives, and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage enterprise hardware and software asset inventories.
  • Track assets through procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Maintain accurate records in ServiceNow ITAM/CMDB or similar platforms.
  • Conduct asset audits, reconciliations, and compliance reviews.
  • Monitor software licensing and usage compliance.
  • Support asset governance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with IT, finance, procurement, and security teams on asset management activities.
  • Assist with hardware refreshes, disposal processes, and audit readiness efforts.
