Overview: As the Acquisition and Asset Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for hardware, software, and cloud consumption, ensuring all acquisitions align with program requirements and federal guidelines. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing procurement strategies, managing asset tracking, and supporting bi-annual inventory reviews to maintain precise inventory records. You will facilitate the renewal of maintenance and support contracts, resolve warranty disputes, and analyze market trends to inform acquisition decisions. Additionally, you will serve as the Accenture lead for a warehouse, coordinating logistics and managing the planning and assignment of installation, upgrade, and refresh activities across geographically dispersed locations.

Criteria for Success: In this role, you will maintain and improve automated inventory management system with real-time tracking capabilities, processing hundreds of hardware and software procurement requests annually. You will conduct thorough market research to evaluate alternatives for IT-related goods and services, prepare procurement packages using government-specific methods, and manage unique configurations with providers while adhering to proprietary purchasing constraints. Exposure to tools such as ServiceNow, and enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM) platforms will be highly beneficial. Experience in cloud financial operations (Cloud FINOPS), budgeting, tracking spend, and optimizing service and support agreements will help you excel in this position, as will a strong background in leading acquisition and asset management teams for large-scale federal projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee procurement processes for all hardware, software, and cloud acquisitions, including planning and tracking spend.
  • Manage and track IT assets using ServiceNow, and other enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools.
  • Implement and maintain an automated Inventory Management System with real-time tracking capabilities.
  • Process hundreds of hardware/software procurement requests annually, ensuring compliance with Government-unique procurement methods.
  • Conduct market research and evaluate alternatives for IT-related goods and services, identifying market trends affecting acquisitions. 
  • Prepare procurement packages and manage unique configurations with providers, adhering to proprietary purchasing constraints.
  • Serve as the Accenture lead for the warehouse and logistics portion of the program that will primarily be performed by a subcontractor.
  • Support bi-annual inventory reviews and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Facilitate renewals of maintenance and support contracts, and resolve warranty disputes.
  • Perform planning and assignments for all install, upgrade, and refresh activities across geographically dispersed office locations.
  • Support life cycle asset management, audit response, and asset tracking for Federal Government clients.
  • Manage and lead acquisition and asset staff for projects of similar size and scope.
  • Analyze IT procurements to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize service/support agreements, and reduce maintenance/support contracts.

Here's what you need: 

  • At least seven years of experience in enterprise IT planning, inventory and asset management, and procurement for Federal Government clients of similar size, scope, and complexity.
  • Strong background in leading acquisition and asset management teams for large-scale federal projects.
  • Active secret clearance.
  • Willingness to go onsite 2x/week in Arlington, VA.
