Job Title: C/T/Radiology Technologist II

JOB SUMMARY:

Duties:

Works under the supervision of the Radiology Manager.
Performs general radiographic studies, according to established Q.A. criteria.
Scans and organizes images, completes required paper work and charges.
Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations.
Assists and instructs patients during examinations.
Performs bedside radiography.
Assists with clerical duties.
Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use.
Reports equipment malfunctions.

Skills:

Performs C/T and Radiology (X-ray) examinations in accordance to established protocols.
Assists and instructs patients prior and during examinations.
Responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations.
Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.
Reports to radiology supervisor all equipment failures and/or malfunctions.
Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to Q.A. policies.
Responsible for processing images, organizing paper work and completing charges.
Works in other areas of the department such as radiology, ultrasound, etc.
Organizational standards for Joint Commission, Patient Safety and the Department of Heath will be met or exceeded
Takes call or stand-by when required.
Performs other duties as required.

Education:

Graduate of an AMA approved radiology course.

Licensure:

CRT, Fluoroscopic license within 180 days of hire, AHA or equivalent BLS Certification required.

Experience:

Two or more years of experience in general radiology, and at least one year of C/T.

Skills:

Some clerical and computer experience.
Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in all age groups: Practices the principles of ALARA
