Job Description

Junior Attorney

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious young attorney to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity for a recent law school graduate or a junior attorney looking to specialize in real estate law with a focus on title work. As a Junior Attorney, you will work closely with our team and gain hands-on experience in real estate transactions, title examination, and closings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough title examinations to ensure the validity and accuracy of property titles.
  • Review and analyze real estate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in drafting legal documents such as deeds, affidavits, and purchase agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on real estate matters to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with title companies, lenders, and other parties involved in real estate transactions.
  • Participate in closings and ensure all necessary legal requirements are met.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting real estate and title work.
  • Assist in resolving title issues and disputes as they arise.

Compensation:

$50,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
  • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
  • Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys
  • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
Qualifications:
  • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
  • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA)
  • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
  • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam
