Job description

Professional Services Internal Non-Attorney Salesperson

We are looking for an experienced, internal salesperson who has a passion for helping others move through and past a difficult time in life. Our salesperson will conduct initial meetings with prospective new clients simply to help them understand the legal services available at our law firm. An ideal candidate will show compassion for people struggling with one of the most difficult life transitions. An ideal salesperson will be able to help potential clients identify and solve their family law problem, so they can move onto their better next chapter of life. Strong candidates are excellent, active listeners who can clearly hear what potential clients say to discern their needs and goals. Ideal candidates have achieved sustained success with trusted advisor sales of intangible professional services.

Once a client chooses to hire our firm, our salesperson continues supporting our new clients by providing attentive, excellent onboarding. The salesperson, together with other team members, ensures engagement agreements are created and disseminated along with firm procedures, expectations, and systems. They communicate new client status to all assigned team members at the start of the case. The salesperson will follow up with clients at the end of their first week, and then again, a month into their matter, to ensure the new clients have everything they need and are provided with additional resources that will help each client’s experience be successful.

Our salesperson will also remain in contact with potential clients who haven’t yet made decisions about representation so that the potential clients understand our door is open to them when they are ready to move forward. Salespeople also take detailed notes about their consults to provide data-driven and constructive feedback to the owners and marketing department about the effectiveness of our marketing and branding strategies...even offering possible suggestions for improvement based on their direct experiences with clients.

About Our Firm

We operate an established and highly regarded Divorce and Family Law Firm. Our mission is to help people get divorced and, in the process, develop creative solutions to help clients lay the foundation for their new lives. Our firm is in significant growth mode, so this is an opportunity for a salesperson to build and expand through agility, innovation, and focus. The people we hire bring a high level of compassion, energy, and enthusiasm to ensure clients secure the unique and superior legal attention they need.

Why Work with Us?

●     You want a healthy work culture with people who enjoy and support each other through exceptional teamwork and are passionate about helping families.

●     You value the chance to collaborate within a community of hundreds of legal sales professionals and coaches/developers as well as obtain ongoing training.

●     You are excited to earn performance-based bonuses that reward your accomplishments.

●     You want 10 PTO days in your first year, along with additional paid holidays, so you can enjoy your life.

●     You value a fully paid medical insurance plan for yourself.

●     You value an employer who supports networking and will pay for approved networking events and groups.
Responsibilities

●     In accordance with the ethical rules governing lawyers, the salesperson will not provide legal advice or enter into an engagement with a client. The salesperson will simply prepare prospective clients for entering into an engagement with the owners or other designated attorneys.

●     Meet with prospective clients to learn about their needs and educate them about the firm itself and provide a general description of the firm’s services in their area of need.

●     Remain in contact with potential new clients who haven’t yet made decisions about representation and orchestrate helpful, ongoing communications to support them.

●     Make client care calls to former clients to continue to develop and build relationships with them.

●     Keep detailed records about potential client communications as well as onboarded client communications.

●     Preserve detailed data regarding activities to provide the marketing team and owners with metrics on the effectiveness of business strategies as well as provide possible suggestions for improvement based upon direct interactions with potential clients and onboarded clients.

●     Always lead with active listening, empathy, and accountability.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

●     Demonstrated record of success selling luxury, high-end, or professional services.

●     Proven track record with, and passion for, trusted advisor sales.

●     Experience and desire to work in an “inside sales” role.

●     Although experience selling concrete things is valuable, candidate must have a demonstrated record of success selling intangibles.

●     Experience with any CRM, particularly reporting.

●     Possess real-life experience demonstrating and expressing empathy to potential clients.

●     Knowledge of the legal industry is a plus - but is not required.

Compensation

Base salary of $50,000 per year plus bonuses based on achieving KPIs
