Salary Range $30.00 - $45.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time

Description

Settlement Negotiator Based in Los Angeles, BD&J is California's leading personal injury law firm, with over $3 billion recovered for our clients, and we are currently seeking a skilled and results-driven Settlement Negotiator to join our growing team. This position plays a crucial role in securing favorable outcomes for clients.

The Settlement Negotiator will be responsible for negotiating settlements with insurance adjusters, preparing negotiation strategies, and working closely with our demand writing, case management, and legal teams to ensure that every case is positioned for maximum recovery. This is a full-time remote position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategically negotiate settlement amounts on bodily injury claims against insurance companies.
  • Analyze the costs of a case settling vs going to litigation.
  • Discover new innovative ways to increase case value.
  • Review demand packages and supporting documentation to identify case value, strengths, and negotiation opportunities Work closely with internal terms and the client to strategize and implement negotiation tactics
  • Track deadlines, statute dates, and pending offers to ensure timely responses and resolution

Skills & Requirements:

  • Qualified candidate will have 2+ years negotiating bodily injury claims.
  • Strong understanding of damages valuation, medical treatment, and personal injury settlement strategy
  • Excellent research and communication skills are required.
  • Must be familiar with reading medical reports and bills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
