The Early Learning Supervisor is part of the Thrive to Five leadership team that provides supervision, support and management in carrying out the vision and compliance of all early childhood service models. Efforts focus on program compliance site and program specific, high performing culture for teaching, client customer service, organization alignment and leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities
Function 1- Program Compliance at Site Level
- Responsible and manages direct line staff are knowledgeable and skilled in implementing regulations and programming requirements of all active funding streams
- Supports program leadership in review of Thrive to Five policies and procedures
- Continues to learn about current research directly related to early learning
Function 2- High Performing Culture for Teaching & Learning
- Provides leadership and manages adequate staffing to meet classroom needs
- Provides leadership and appropriate response to any HR related personnel issues
- Communicates and supports as needed with cabinet leadership that may affect licensing and or good standing of any federal or state funds
Function 3- Client/Customer Service
- Provides ongoing support to ensure strong customer service
- Supports direct line staff in managing customer grievance in a timely, effective manner
- Reports to the director of education operations and client concerns or grievances that may affect licensing or federal/state grants
Function 4- Organization Alignment
- Collaborates with leadership and direct line staff to endure alignment, congruence and clarity of program operations
- Collaborates with coordinators, peer supervisors and direct line staff further our purpose and identity
- Responsible for effectively communicating systems of feedback to the direct line staff for implementation
Function 5- Leadership & Collaboration
- Provides reflective supervision to all direct line staff;
- Manages ADP for direct line staff payroll; reviews time cards/mileage forms and activity reports as appropriate
- Works with team members to develop and provide professional development to create a high performing culture.
Qualifications & Job Factors
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Social Work, or in a related filed with at least 18 ECE credit hours
- AND 5 years of experience in providing ECE services
- And 3 years of experience in supervision of staff and administration
- Experience using adult learning principles and training adults
- Experience with federal and state ECE regulations
