Summer Camp Supervisor

The Summer Supervisor is responsible for the preparation and implementation of all aspects of the Summer Recess Program, provides on-site training and support to Assistant Supervisors and Counselors, communicates with parents and children, manages work hours for all Summer Recess staff, transports children in the Parks and Recreation Department van to and from activities, organizes and runs all special events held throughout the Summer Recess program, collect monies for registration and trips, holds weekly staff meetings, secures all reports and forms from each Summer Assistant Supervisor, discusses and evaluates performances of Summer Recess Staff, discuss discipline problems, contacting parents if necessary (suspensions or expulsions), and works directly with the Director of Parks and Recreation. 

Requirements:

- Prior experience in supervising, directing or managing in a playground or day camp setting or equivalent is required

- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Reliable and Responsible

- Possess ability to instruct and interact with children and adults

- Possess good management and organization skills

- Valid PA Driver’s License

- First Aid/CPR/AED Certified

- PA Child Abuse Clearance and FBI Clearance
