Requirements:
  • This position is a full-time seasonal position with a variable schedule; the ability to work day and evenings according to the needs of the program is required; Monday - Friday and able to commit to the entire summer season
  • This position requires work that occurs both indoors and outside on a regular basis; handling of cleaning products and agents is required
  • This position has an inherent amount of physical and mental stress; all candidates must be prepared and capable of adapting to such conditions and be mentally alert at all times
  • A positive attitude and professional behavior are expected and displayed consistently in all dealings with members and fellow Team members
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • State Specific Licensing Requirements **CCR 7.712.42:
    • "This individual must be at least 18 years of age"
    • "Must have at least three (3) months (460 hours) of full-time or equivalent part-time satisfactory and verifiable experience with school-age children"

Basic Responsibilities:
  • Leading a group of campers through their camp experiences
  • Developing youth friendships to ensure each child is connected to their camp community
  • Completing daily opening and closing procedures, as well as safety logs
  • Daily written and verbal communication with Camp parents, team members, club members, and Program Director
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the specific needs of the campers in your care and communicate safety or behavior concerns with appropriate parties
  • Ensure each area of the club utilized by the camp is clean, safe, and in good repair
