Job Description: Grounds Maintenance Technician (Mower Operator & String Trimmer)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Operate and Maintain a Zero Turn Mower and String Trimmer to achieve a professional and neat appearance. As well take proper precautions to cause no harm, injury or damage to self, equipment and surrounding individuals and/or environment.

Work Environment

•Frequent heavy or intense physical requirements.

•Frequent exposure to a number of disagreeable environmental elements, such as heat, cold,noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc.

•Constant precautions required, i.e., face mask, safety glasses, gloves, boots and/or earprotection needed at all times, company will provide.

•You must wear steel toe or composite boots.

•Be able to stand extended period of time, push, pull, bend, kneel, and stretch as required

•Be able to lift 50 lbs.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

•High scho ol diploma or equivalent.•Minimum of one (1) year work experience, in a related field preferred.•Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate credentials/background checks as required by the contract.•Ability to communicate effectively.•Knowledgeable and skilled in grounds maintenance.•Able to understand verbal or written direction.•Able to perform tasks without supervision.•Good communication and interpersonal skills.•Must have reliable transportation.•Valid Driver's License is a plus.•Be able to pass background check in order to gain access to military facilities.
