Job Description

Job Description:
The employee assists in developing schedules and determining priority of manufacturing jobs for a single department or group of departments, seeing that various parts and assemblies needed for fulfillment of different contracts are produced according to schedule. Working from the schedule and from planning documents, plans jobs to support customer deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support scheduling and determining priority of manufacturing, jobs for a single department or group of departments.
  • Analyzes plans, planning documents, modification planning data, in order to apply proper time spans for processing materials, parts, and assemblies and to meet required delivery dates.
  • Reschedules work flow to reflect shifting priorities of departmental loading for determination of whether overtime, staffing level changes, or subcontracting are required.
  • Coordinates with purchasing to obtain and schedule materials based on backlog and production schedules. Identifies and communicates shortages for the entire backlog over a frozen period (depending on the area)
  • Coordinates with Operations to resolve difficulties related to shop loading.
  • Follows and audits the physical progress of materials or goods to insure conformance to schedule.
  • Provides status of orders to customer service and management.
  • Works as a liaison between all functions to maintain an uninterrupted flow of required materials.
  • Performs tasks equal to or exceeding established standards while keeping quality up to acceptable standards.
  • Works overtime, and travels as required.
  • Supports Operations and Quality in critical areas as required or when available


Skills and Requirements:

  • Applicant must be ITAR compliant
  • Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned;
  • Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability;
  • Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English;
  • Good understanding of, and experience with inventory management, Kanban systems, safety stock, cycle count
  • Effective time management skills;
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization;
  • Work consistently to meet the Company’s objectives and traveling as required;
  • Conduct themselves in a professional business-like and civil manner;
  • Continuous improvement focus;
  • Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the Company;
  • Manual dexterity to safely and proficiently operate company office equipment;
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods in front of a computer as necessary;
  • Familiarity with typical Microsoft tools including Excel, Outlook, Access;
  • A Bachelor’s degree, APICS/ CPIM certification would be a huge plus

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee are regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
  • Light to moderate lifting is required
  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Salary DOE: 
$18.00 - $21.00
