Job Description Senior Production Planner/Master Scheduler Location This position is onsite and is based in Wilmington, MA Position Summary The Senior Production Planner/Master Scheduler plays a critical role in supporting the execution of strategic business objectives that drive growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence within a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that align customer demand, inventory targets, manufacturing capacity, and material availability while ensuring on-time product delivery and optimal resource utilization.

Success in this role requires exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, as the planner serves as a key liaison between multiple functions, translating customer requirements and demand forecasts into executable production plans. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems, and Excel analytical capability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end MRP process, ensuring data integrity, planning accuracy, and system effectiveness.
  • Analyze forecast demand, customer orders, inventory levels, lead times, and production capacity to create realistic and achievable manufacturing schedules.
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain teams to ensure timely material availability and mitigate risks associated with long lead-time semiconductor components and materials.
  • Communicate schedule changes, material constraints, production priorities, and recovery plans effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning meetings and provide clear recommendations regarding capacity constraints, inventory risks, and customer delivery commitments.
  • Monitor and drive key performance indicators, including on-time delivery, inventory turns, schedule adherence, forecast accuracy, and MRP planning accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve supply-demand imbalances, production bottlenecks, and material shortages to minimize disruptions and maximize customer service levels.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to support new product introductions, product transitions, and production ramp activities.
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters, bills of material, lead times, and master data to ensure optimal ERP/MRP performance.
  • Drive process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, inventory optimization, planning effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of production planning, master scheduling, or supply chain planning experience in a semiconductor, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of SYSPRO and SAP MRP/ERP systems, including planning parameters, demand management, inventory control, and production scheduling.
  • Demonstrated experience managing MRP accuracy, inventory performance, and production planning in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all organizational levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing customer demands and business conditions.
