Job DescriptionCompany Description
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. There is travel to Killeen and Georgetown but you work from home a few days a week as part of our hybrid model.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare for the following day’s clinic appointments ensuring all required reports are available for the Provider’s review
- Clean and prepare examination rooms before patient appointments
- Room patients per scheduling criteria set forth by Provider; obtain vital signs
- Record patient information such as vital signs, quality reporting data, and changes in medical history
- Prepare medication refills for the provider
- Obtain prior authorizations for medications/procedures when requested
- Assist with patient calls
- Additional tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
- Ability to travel to clinics: Killeen, Georgetown, N. Austin
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
