Our Work:

Security Central Security Consultants are expected to help the company grow by searching for, identifying, and serving high-quality sales opportunities. Consultants are responsible for achieving total customer satisfaction by offering security solutions and in a friendly, professional, and educational manner. This means C.A.R.E.’ing through the ENTIRE sales process. Contrary to many sales roles, once a project is signed, the C.A.R.E. Consultant stays involved and manages the project and the customer relationship through to the job’s completion and beyond. We don’t SELL anything. Instead, we recommend high-value solutions to customers and give them the opportunity to choose to BUY. Successful Consultants take full responsibility and ownership of all aspects of the sales cycle including: prospecting for new opportunities, identifying the needs of a prospective client, designing and proposing solutions that will benefit the customer and the company, communicating the details of a job to the installation and billing departments, providing end-user training, ensuring total customer satisfaction after the installation, and obtaining referrals from the happy customer to begin a new relationship cycle with a new prospect . Security Central Consultants are also responsible for maintaining and promoting their customer relationships on an ongoing basis to serve their customers well and promote frequent, active referrals. Having a servant heart and a personal desire to truly help people on a daily basis is absolutely critical to success.

A typical daily schedule might include meeting an installation technician at a job site to review details of the job, confirming that jobs are scheduled and parts have been ordered, prospecting for new opportunities at neighboring locations, calling on referral sources to build referral relationships, performing a site survey at a prospective customer appointment, entering into the computer system the details of a sold job, fielding calls from existing customers with questions or on-going needs, stopping back at a completed job site to do user training and relationship building, visiting a construction site to see if there are any security or fire needs for the new project, etc. Security Central Consultants are expected to act as professional ambassadors of the company as they interact with customers and prospective customers, always projecting an image of professionalism, courtesy, integrity, expertise, and C.A.R.E. Team members need to be comfortable working in both commercial and residential environments, selling anything from a simple home security system to a high-end integrated security solution involving video surveillance, card access control, environmental monitoring, etc. A salesperson’s success will be determined primarily by their ability to effectively prospect/hunt for new business opportunities everyday and follow an organized process to follow up and follow through to deliver effective, professional solutions to match each customer’s needs. We believe that our approach to the sales position and its responsibilities is different than many salespeople are used to, so previous sales experience is not needed. Successful salespeople should also be equipped with a caring personality, good listening skills, creative problem solving abilities, the heart of an educator, and strong analytical faculties to assess a situation and quickly devise a proposal to solve a customer’s needs. Familiarity with security systems equipment, fire systems equipment, video surveillance equipment, and access control equipment is helpful in shortening the learning curve.

 

Our Benefits:

Security Central offers a competitive compensation plan with base salary + commissions and bonuses. Expected earnings range from $60K to $150K+. We also offer company-subsidized health and dental insurance for employees including a contribution toward dependent coverage, a qualified retirement plan funded 100% by the company plus a 401k option, and a cafeteria plan for pre-tax payment of medical and child-care related expenses, and more. We expect a lot from our employees, but in return, we provide a lot as well.
