On-Call Caregivers Needed - Immediate Start - Lake Forest

Job Summary:
Senior Helpers - South OC is looking for compassionate and reliable On-Call Caregivers to join our team in Lake Forest, California. As part of our dynamic team, you'll have the flexibility to pick up shifts based on your availability, providing essential assistance and companionship to individuals in need. We're seeking experienced individuals proficient in handling mild to severe dementia and all personal care needs to join our on-call team. As a valued member, you'll utilize your expertise to provide compassionate support tailored to each individual's unique requirements. With your skills and dedication, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for those facing cognitive challenges, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.

Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to assigned clients
- Assist with daily activities such as grooming, bathing, toileting, and dressing
- Administer medication reminders according to client’s care plan
- Monitor and track changes in client’s health and report any concerns to the appropriate individuals
- Support and engage clients in social and recreational activities
- Maintain open communication with clients, their families, and Senior Helpers staff
- Follow all policies and procedures set by Senior Helpers and the client’s care plan

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in a caregiving role, preferably with seniors
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Negative TB test
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic towards clients and their families
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible schedule to work on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
