Job Description
Job Overview
A Powder Coater is responsible for preparing parts for paint and completing the coating process with liquid or powder paint.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing Surfaces:
- Cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of the powder coating.
- Using power tools and hand tools to remove rust, dirt, and old paint from surfaces.
- Applying Powder Coating:
- Operating airless paint spraying equipment to apply powder coating evenly.
- Ensuring proper coverage and adhesion of the powder coating.
- Quality Control:
- Inspecting parts before and after powder coating to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitoring and controlling powder coating parameters to achieve desired results.

Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma
- One to two years of welding experience
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing production or willingness to learn
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus
- Basic computer skills are a plus
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Work Environment
Typical Production Plant environment with occasional customer onsite work
