TMCO is looking for an experienced Powder Coating Manager to lead our busy powder coating department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with powder coating or finishing experience being a plus. This position is responsible for leading the team, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and ensuring production goals and customer deadlines are met.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
  • Powder coating or finishing experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with production deadlines and quality requirements.
  • Experience with an ERP system or similar manufacturing software preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to motivate employees and hold team members accountable.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet production needs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production and equipment issues.
  • Knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and materials preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and OSHA requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Job Duties

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Powder Coating Department.
  • Schedule and prioritize department work to meet production requirements and customer deadlines.
  • Provide direction, training, coaching, and support to department employees.
  • Work closely with other departments to coordinate production schedules and resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot production, equipment, and process issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure employees follow safety procedures and company policies.
  • Assist with employee performance management and development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase department efficiency.
  • Oversee all aspects of the powder coating operation, including:
    • Powder application
    • Product preparation and prep-work
    • Loading and unloading products on a moving track system
    • Packaging of finished products
    • Product assembly
    • Quality inspection
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
