Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coat Painter to join our production team. In this role, you will prep, hang, and coat a variety of metal parts and products to exact specifications, ensuring a flawless, durable finish that meets our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, mask, and plug parts to ensure proper powder adhesion.
  • Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain spray guns, powder hoppers, and ovens.
  • Application: Apply uniform coats of powder paint to products while minimizing waste and preventing defects (runs, sags, or thin spots).
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for color accuracy, mil thickness, and overall surface quality.
  • Oven Management: Monitor curing oven temperatures and conveyor speeds to ensure proper baking times.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean spray booths, guns, and hooks regularly to prevent color contamination and ensure optimal operation.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in industrial powder coating or liquid painting.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrostatic application, mil thickness gauges, and curing processes.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in environments with varying temperatures.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent eye for color matching and identifying surface imperfections.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Pay Rate: $16.00 - $20.00/hour (based on experience)
  • Shift: Full-time, Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
