United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire (UCPIE) is a 501 (c) (3) organization incorporated in 1985. UCPIE is an affiliate of over 60 national United Cerebral Palsy organizations providing services to people with developmental disabilities beyond cerebral palsy. UCPIE provides programs and services in the Inland Empire in both Riverside and San Bernardino counties. UCPIE’s mission is to advance the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of people with disabilities. Services provided are for individuals diagnosed with cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome, epilepsy, intellectual delay, and other disabilities.
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Office Clerk will provide assistance to the UCPIE administrative team. The Office Clerk will perform routine office duties such as answering the telephone, receiving, and distributing mail, running office errands, keeping the office stocked, filing, and doing data entry work.
HOURS: Part-time - Needs to be flexible to work mornings & afternoons
PAY RATE: $19-$21
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Assist executive and administrative staff by performing routine clerical duties such as data entry work, creating files, and managing client and UCPIE employee information on specialized software programs used by UCPIE.
- Manage office needs:
- Update the letterhead and email
- Check mail and take/deliver to appropriate staff
- Review faxes and take/send to appropriate staff
- Update phone greetings
- Communicate & troubleshoot phone issues
- Communicate & troubleshoot respitrack issues
- Communicate & troubleshoot Chronotek issues
- Order business cards
- Place office orders
- Order business cards
- Place office orders
Storage:
- Cleaning & organizing storage area
- Maintain inventory list
Respite Dept:
- Support phone calls regarding timesheets, missing times, etc.
- Direct calls to appropriate staff
- Support with Respite projects as assigned by the Director of programs
ADP:
- Support to upload documents
HR:
- Make Copiers as needed for HR
- Support to mail out notices & track expiring personnel docs
- Support staffing coordinator with CPR dates & times, log, inform
- HR regarding missed training
- Support HR with special projects
Payroll:
- Support by calling employees (or parents) for payroll cleaning
- Support by stamping and mailing paycheck stubs
- Support entering employee’s missed punch hours on ADP
Courier:
- Deliver PPE (as needed)
- Deliver office supplies
- Arrange pick up recycled adapted bikes
Special Events:
- Support special events as needed
- Keep track and update R.S.V.P list as needed
- Order & pick up lunch of admin staff during events
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position can require employees to sit for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours). The employee is also frequently required to stand, lift items averaging 5-45 pounds, move furniture, clean storage areas using chemical cleaners; and be able to use their hands to type, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
TRAVEL
This job requires travel; the employee must be able to drive their own vehicle up to 40 miles from the office and be able to load and unload large items.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Microsoft Office proficient/Computer Proficient
3. Must be able to type 45 words per minute.
4. Strong written and oral communication skills
5. Basic IT troubleshooting skills
6. Bilingual (English & Spanish) will be required
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
1. Valid driver’s license
2. Valid vehicle registration
3. Valid vehicle insurance
4. Good driving record
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE
1. Fingerprint clearance through the FBI and DOJ.
2. Legally eligible to work in the U.S.A.
