Job Description

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Manager, Quality Assurance & Internal Auditing to join our team at our newly renovated Wayne, NJ manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for assessing and evaluating MANE’s quality management systems and processes to ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and internal policies. The primary role is to conduct internal audits and investigations to identify areas of improvement, assess risks, and verify compliance with established quality standards which will be used for Root Cause Analytics and CAPA responses to internal and external customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and execute internal audits of the MANE’s quality management system, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop audit plans, checklists, and procedures based on established standards and regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits to assess compliance with quality standards, such as ISO 9001 or other industry-specific regulations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Create added value for internal and external customers by leading the continuous improvement of MANE’s entire Quality Assurance Process in coordination with Operational Excellence programs
  • Identify potential risks and areas of non-compliance and propose corrective actions (CAPA) to address them
  • Review documentation and records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to applicable standards.
  • Interview employees and stakeholders to gather information and insights regarding quality processes and procedures
  • Create close partnerships with Engineering, Laboratories, Procurement, Quality Control, Customer Service and Production to ensure Quality Standards are met
  • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, observations, and recommendations for management
  • Implement and oversee Quality Dashboard measuring divisional KPI in conjunction with the Customer Complaint Portal
  • Consistent with MANE’s environmental commitments, every employee shall actively participate in relevant education/training based upon corporate and local environmental objectives. Management shall support and facilitate the actions within their teams to effectively and adequately implement environmental policies, procedures and practices, as well as promote continual improvement consistent with environmental goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science Related field- minimum; Advanced Degrees or studies in Quality Management, Business Administration, or related discipline desired.
  • 5+ years fragrance industry experience
  • Previous experience in internal auditing, quality assurance, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to the organization's industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to identify areas of improvement and potential risks.
  • A working knowledge of manufacturing and sales in the fragrance industry.
  • Computer literacy and the application of computer software, technology data, instrumentation, and management of Quality Initiatives.
  • Familiarity with processes, methodologies and instrumentation used for analysis during fragrance production.
  • Must possess an analytical thought process with a passion for investigative research
  • Effective communication skills to interact with employees at all levels to convey and explain audit findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit investigations simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Must view all Quality Investigations though a Customer Centric lens.
