General Job Summary:
Robotic -Maintenance Technician maintain robots and auxiliary equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all aspect automated robots and auxiliary equipment. The Robotic -Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring a strong preventive maintenance program. - Troubleshoot and make adjustments to robot programs and fixtures.
- Align, fit, or assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixture, templates.
- Attach wires between controllers.
- Maintain inventories or production supplies such as sensors and cables.
- Troubleshoot robotics systems, using knowledge of programmable controllers, electronics, mechanic, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics. Determine causes of operational problems or failures.
- Robots or peripheral equipment to make repairs such as replacement of defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, and servomotors.
- Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
- Maintain service records of robotic equipment or automated production systems.
- Install, program, or repair robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, or conveyors.
- Interprets machine operation manuals and identifies problem source.
- Disassembles and removes, repairs and/or replaces defective components on manufacturing equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance, including lubricating and cleaning of manufacturing equipment.
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems.

- Must possess own tools.
- Maintain equipment to ensure machines produce quality parts.
- Be able to respond to call-backs in emergency break down situations on an as needed basis.

Education
high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
3-4 years of mechanical experience and willing to train on robotic systems.
Other Requirements
Ability to read blueprints, interpret operation manuals; understanding of manufacturing equipment and facilities; ability to use hand and power tools and mechanical testing equipment; welding, machining, and plumbing experience helpful.

Basic computer skills
Language Skills:
Intermediate Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Intermediate Skills: Basic math skills
Reasoning Ability:
Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
