Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of production workers, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Lead, motivate, and coach a team of production workers to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Provide clear direction and guidance to team members, ensuring adherence to production schedules and procedures.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability among staff.
• Monitor production processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement measures to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure smooth production operations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products to identify and address any quality issues promptly.
• Implement corrective actions as necessary to prevent recurrence of quality issues and improve overall product quality.
• Provide training to production staff on operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Identify training needs and opportunities for skills development within the production team.
• Support the professional growth and development of team members through coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience     

• Bachelor’s degree in management, industrial relations, business administration or related field. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor’s degree.)
• Experience in a production supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment preferred. 
• Bilingual preferred or ability to learn and interact with multiple demographics in a production environment

• Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office products - Excel, Word, Outlook and Access.  Experience with Epicor ERP preferred but not required.
