INTERIOR DESIGNER I
The individual in this role is new to the practice and helps build better, more sustainable communities by developing conceptual interior design plans that evenly balance client visions, needs, wants and budgets.
The Interior Designer I will analyze, plan, design, document and manage interior related projects including understanding building design, fire, life-safety, and energy codes, standards, and guidelines. As Interior Designer on multiple projects, project types, teams, and working with different project managers, you need to be able to be flexible, organized, and efficient. In this position, you work under close supervision on small, or segments of larger, moderately complex projects.
Coordination of schedules and project requirements is essential daily. The designer should be proficient at Revit, rendering, and presentations working with the Owner and Project Manager to provide a high-level design on every project.

0 to 3 years of experience and plans to prepare for NCIDQ certification.
If applicable, become a Certified Interior Designer.
Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) required.
Increase knowledge and practice of sustainability.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
You earned a BS in interior design – or a related field – from an accredited institution
Additional applicable certifications and degrees are a major plus
CORE DUTIES
Understand and implement public health and safety codes including accessibility and environmental guidelines.
Develop program and space planning during Schematic Design and Design Development.
Participate in field measurements, verifications, and scanning technology of existing conditions.
Model 3D, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, detailing, schedules, and finish documents. Additional drafting will be required as the project, and team require.
Select finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment per project requirements.
Develop presentations (virtual and physical) including, but not limited to, renderings and video walkthroughs.
Endeavor to become familiar with manufacturer's sales representatives, maintain the Interiors library, and sample ordering.
Assist in client meetings as necessary.
Work under the guidance of a Senior Interior Designer or Architect.
