Quality Manager - Manufacturing - EBW Electronics

EBW Electronics (EBWE) is currently seeking to fill a key role, Quality Manager to provide leadership, growth, and continuous improvement in the quality of materials, internal processes, and finished products. As our Quality Manager, you will be an active member of our Operations Management Team and report to our Vice President of Operations. Our Quality team is unique as it is made up of Engineers, Technicians, and a QMS Compliance Manager. EBWE is a highly automated electronic manufacturing firm in Holland and locally owned and managed since our inception in 1992. We are a world leader in LED circuit boards and LED applications, specializing in design and electronic manufacturing of printed circuit board assemblies. Our ideal Quality Manager will have sharp technical knowledge, strong leadership/management competency, along with genuine relationship development skills.

As our Quality Manager your areas of focus will include:

• Build and maintain an appropriate EBWE Quality Department
• Provide leadership to inspire, energize, encourage, and develop a high-performing quality management team
• Design and implement methods for process control and improvement, testing, and inspection
• Develop, execute, and analyze quality-reporting measures such as FPY, FTQ, PPM, and Scrap
• Assist in identifying weaknesses in quality; recognizing our top defects and reducing at the source
• Manage EBWE’s Quality Management System including, but not limited to, IATF 16949 and ISO 9000 Compliance
• Lead and execute APQP documentation with EBWE suppliers and customers, including all facets of PPAP submittal

We believe our Quality Manager will need the following to be successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of Automotive Quality experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment
• Proven leadership experience either as a Manager or Senior Level Engineer
• Possess a successful track record of coaching, mentoring, and equipping others at all levels of an organization
• Demonstrated successful design and implementation of effective quality management system strategies consistent with overall business goals
• Supported history of sound judgment and decision-making, critical thinking, listening, conflict resolution, and solving complex problems
• Proven experience in successfully delivering operational excellence and exceptional customer service through quality
• Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPS, A3, APQP, PPAP and 8D process
• Knowledge of implementing ISO9000, IATF 16949 quality standards
• Understanding of APQP and IMDS systems
• Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation
• Strong computer skills including QA applications, Microsoft Office (Excel in particular), Minitab and databases
