Job Description
Manufacturing Manager:
Responsibilities:
- Department Management:
- Lead welding, fabrication, and CNC machining departments, overseeing supervisors.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Implement best practices for process efficiency and waste reduction.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive initiatives to enhance productivity, shorten lead time, and improve quality.
- Lead process optimization projects using lean manufacturing principles.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, customer service, and quality assurance departments.
- Participate in organizational goal-setting and initiatives.
- Performance Management:
- Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct evaluations.
- Address performance issues promptly and constructively.
- Safety Compliance:
- Promote a safety culture, enforce protocols, and conduct audits.
- Participate in safety committee activities.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, expertise in welding, fabrication, and CNC machining.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to split time between shop floor and office.
- Capable of reading blueprints and learning various software systems.
